It’s not possible to use a mere 1000 characters for a review and do Batman: Arkham City any justice. The game is a masterpiece and should be played by both Batman fans and general video game fans.
It improves on the few minor issues of Arkham City while simultaneously raising the bar for super hero games. The controls are tight, the graphics are flawless, the soundtrack never fails to pull you in at the appropriate times and the game is paced perfectly. If I wanted to be incredibly nit-picky, I could say that the story of the game loses some of it’s momentum as you near the it’s end, but the fact remains that Arkham City at it’s worst still towers over most games at their best.
Anyone interested in play should add to the experience and acquire the Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing DLC. The Catwoman add-on is a must have as it comes with a short B-story that intertwines with the main narrative. If you ever fantasized about being Batman, this is as close as you’re going to get.
