Happy Birthday Chase!

Today is my little, little guy’s ; David Hobson is now a full year old, and I can’t even begin to describe the joy he’s brought to my life.

I’m amazed with Chase. He’s so much different than his brother. Where-as , when he was this age, wanted to be constantly moving and exerting independence, Chase wants to be held and played with. While , at this age, seemed to always be in a hurry to get to the next thing, Chase is content given almost any circumstance.

I love how he loves being involved with Dana and me. He lights up when I get home from work, loves telling me all about his day in his own little language, loves it when I play toys with him, and gets excited when we read books together.

I’m also amazed with how much he eats — seriously, I’m convinced this child would never stop eating. Dana and I took him to the doctor not too long ago, and the doctor asked us how Chase usually behaves when he’s had to much to eat, that is, how he tells us he’s full. We just sort of looked at each other and had to concede to the doctor, “I don’t think he’s ever gotten to that point!”

I’ve made so many great memories with Chase this past year, I’m so looking forward to spending as much time as I can with him, and getting to know him even better as he continually grows.
