Arizona populous, poll after poll, overwhelmingly supported the enactment of a law designed to untie the hand of local law enforcement to crack down on illegal immigration. A federal judge has since ruled that Arizona doesn’t have the authority to enforce the law.
Out in California, proposition 8 was put to a vote of the people. The people voted that the definition of marriage should remain as an institution between a man and woman. Citing no president, A federal judge’s ruling has given the government the right to change the definition.
The official spokes person for the President claims that Missouri’s newly past, by a 40 point margin no less, bailout measure that rejects the individual mandate for Obama’s heath care bill is “of no legal significance”.
Is it just me, or is anybody else getting the feeling that the power of “We The People” is slowly be eroded away in the courts? If one federal judge can overturn the vote of 7 million citizens, what is the point of even having elections anymore?
