Kickin’ Old School With P-Hiddy’s First Trip To Walt Disney World! [Photos!]

I’ve scanned the handful of pictures that where taken during my very first at Walt World, back in November of 1993. I was only 13 at the time. Unfortunately, back then the whole digital camera technology was non-existent, and because film development cost mucho denarii, there weren’t a whole lot of pictures taken. This is too bad as I would have liked to have remembered more about this trip.

Don’t laugh too hard at me.

I know the ride in the background is Splash Mountain, but I have no idea what’s going on with me here. I don’t think I’ve ever made this face at Disney World since.

I’ll answer some questions: No, I don’t know what I’m doing in this photo. Yes those are my beloved ‘High-Tops’. No I wasn’t buying my own clothes yet. Yes I know those shorts and that sweater have no business being put together.

A closer look at my prized Aladdin possessions. How prized are they? Well, here is an updated photo that I took tonight:

That is so great! Haha- didn’t we all look like that (hair/outfits) back then? :)
Love the Aladdin figurines! When David and I were down there a year and a half ago- I got Beauty and The Beast figurines. David didn’t quite understand and I felt a little silly but I just had to- it’s my favorite Disney animated film. :-) I kind of feel like opening the box for the first time and playing with them now since seeing your picture. :)

I know about the outfits. Sometime I just want to ask my parents, “What were you thinking?”, but then I remember that Logan will probably grow up and ask Dana and I the same thing.

The Aladdin figures are awesome. I’ve always been some-what of a pack rat, but I am very happy that I still have everything I purchased on that first vacation.

Those are great pics… I love the bathing suit and staring into the sun pics haha.
I’m guessing you guys stayed at the Dolphin??
I should try to locate the ones my parents have from our early trip to WDW =)
Then I can embarrass myself as well ;)

Mom’s take on the clothes: I don’t remember the boys ever wanting to go clothes shopping with me, so they had to take what I brought home!! sorry, Paul

I just laughed SO HARD! (Not at your expense, I promise!) My favorites? Tagging your hair in the picture and the shorts/sweatshirt/high top combo. Ah, those were the days. Sometimes I wish I was 13 again when the biggest thing I had to worry about was ….gosh, there was nothing to worry about. Thanks for the flashback.
