Dana and I had Custom Mickey Mouse Doodles Drawn for Us!

Back in mid-August, Dana and I purchased a mini-van from a car dealership in Florida. We were trying to figure out a way for both of us to fly down to Orlando and drive the van back up, knowing full well it would mean a visit to Disney World, but my obligations at work kept me in New York. Thankfully my sister was available to go with her, and the two turned the trip into an extended weekend “get away”.

On their flight down, they experienced a layover in Philadelphia. While they were having a conversation about Disney World, they were overheard by an artist employed by Walt Disney Animation Studios and he couldn’t help but join in the discussion. A conversation inevitably turned to how much of a couple of “Disney geeks” we both are — the things we collect, the music we listen to, and all the time we try to spend at The Magic Kingdom.

He must have been amused by this, because he took a couple sheets of paper out of his notebook and drew a couple of custom Mickey and Minne Mouse doodles for us! I just wish I knew the name of the artist. I’d like to see what other work he’s done, or projects he’s been involved in. He did sign the images, but, as you can see, he doesn’t have the most legible signature.
