What Cancer Can’t Do

Thoughts

These words were written on the bulletin board in the lab room where I got my chemotherapy. Every time I would sit down to give blood, I would read them. It’s funny, at the time I thought they were empty words with no real meaning… a false hope, if you will. I saw my situation as black and white… if my health was good, of course I could be happy. If my health was bad, I was well within my right to be depressed. It’s not until now I am realizing that I have no rights and hope prevails.

is so limited.
It cannot cripple Love.
It cannot shatter Hope.
It cannot corrode Faith.
It cannot destroy Peace.
It cannot kill Friendship.
It cannot suppress Memories.
It cannot silence Courage.
It cannot invade the Soul.
It cannot conquer the Spirit.
It cannot steal eternal Life!
