I'm using Ubuntu and running Notepad++ under Wine because it really does seem to be the best tool for writing my dissertation, and this has just made my life so much easier. Thanks too to the helpful commenters, hooray for keyboard shortcuts! That's made my day. (I'm doing a dissertation, it doesn't take anything terribly complex to please me at the moment!)
