Ah, the Mowhawk Mall. We hardly knew thee. I grew up just 3 blocks away from the place and I remember loving just walking around. Window shopping at all the stores; the arcade burned quite a few hours / quarters of mine as well. What was best about this mall was Media Play. My very first job. I worked there for 4 years and it was great. I loved it.
Anyway, there is this website, deadmalls.com, that has a good amount of pictures of the Mohawk Mall’s final days. I’ve posted my favorites here. I would love to try and dig up some more pictures. Especially of Media Play.
