Hey Kimmy,

Thanks for you comment. You're spot on in your observations. I think the point the post's original offer was trying to drive home is that God would do whatever it takes to make a way for reconciliation. If he could have used violence to achieve that goal, he would have. If he could have used multiple ways to obtain redemption he would have. In the end he decided the way to go about the business of salvation was to put himself in our place. If you really allow that to sink in it's a lot for the intellect to chew on

Huh I've never looked at it that way,yet I can see your point. I agree that our God from the Old Testament was violent, willing to punish all who had ever done wrong. I don't believe though that that is the God of today. But I also agree that he's willing to save anyone who needs saving, anyone who is willing to accept him as his savior even when they don't deserve it. There have been many times when I knew fully that I had created my own problems and didn't deserve saving but he has always saved me anyway. And sometimes even when you feel like he's left you, that he's finally deserted you or disappointed you, you realize that he knew what he was doing all along. I believe that that is what faith is. Knowing that God is always there watching over you. He may not always give you what you want. But he'll always give you what you need. But sometimes we're so caught up in what we want we don't realize we have everything we need right under our noses.

Where-as I certainly respect your opinion on the matter, the bluntness of your comment makes me wonder if you even read the post in it's entirety. Care to elaborate at all, or should that thought stand on it's own?

Um, yeah, no. The movie isn't anything to do with any of that junk. You might as well also call the entire "Lethal Weapon" movie series a Great Christian Movie.
